Geomancy

Geomancy is the practice of identifying subtle energies that directly affect our health and well-being.  It involves identifying those energies that are disruptive to our lives and balancing them.
The Geomancer performs a Geopathic stress analysis of electro-magnetic fields (EMFs) present in your environment, and can reduce their harmful effects.

What Is Geopathic Stress?

Geopathic stress is the effect of detrimental earth radiation and electromagnetic radiation on the health of your body. The Earth has a natural magnetic field; it acts as though it has a large magnet at its center. The rotation of the earth creates electrical currents in the molten metals found within its core, thereby producing a magnetic field. Human beings have evolved with this background magnetic field; they are accustomed to living within its presence.  Geopathic stress occurs when the Earth's magnetic field is disturbed, either naturally or artificially, and the background field we normally experience is changed.  This can happen when the natural radiations which rise up through the earth are distorted by weak electromagnetic fields created by subterranean running water, sewers, drains, certain mineral concentrations, fault lines and underground cavities.  Natural radiation disturbed in this way can become harmful to humans. Mining can cause man-made disturbances to the earth’s magnetic field, foundations for tall buildings, quarrying, underground transport systems, and public utilities (sewage, water and so on)

Geopathic stress is not only electromagnetic in origin. Geopathic stress can be caused by energies emanating from the earth vibrating at a level beyond the electromagnetic spectrum currently recognized and detected by conventional science and technology.  These energies are often referred to as earth energies and can be bad, good or neutral.  Earth energies have many different features but most problems are caused by underground water streams and Straight energy lines often referred to as, Ley Lines, Curry Grid Lines and Hartmann Grid Lines. Curry lines were discovered by Dr. Manfred Curry and Dr. Wittmann as a global grid network.  As was the Hartmann global grid network discovered by Dr. Ernst Hartmann.  It is mainly the crossing points on the Curry or Hartmann lines that cause health problems.  Any feature which affects the earth's natural magnetic field will most likely also affect the earth energies as these are linked in some way.
Electropathological energy created by modern technology such as high and low frequency energy from telecommunication towers, electricity pylons, transformers, radar and radio towers can also contribute to geopathic stress.
When the wavelengths of the natural radiation are disturbed in this way, they become harmful to living organisms. These "geopathic zones" have a range of influence from 2 to 200 feet, and reach a height of 600 to 30,000 feet.

2205 - 2197 BC
Chinese Emperor Kuang Yu promulgated an edict (effective to this day) which reads: “No dwelling shall be built before the earth diviners* haven‘t confirmed the intended building site to be free of earth demons**.” TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) has long known about the influences of hidden – i.e. generally invisible – earth radiations.

Dowsers were employed during the 30 Years War to track down treasures.
Middle Ages
The divining rod (wunsciligerta) finds frequent mention in the Nibelungenlied. Minnesinger Wolfram von Eschenbach mentions the divining rod in his “Parzival”. Generally, this lore was wide-spread in Europe in medieaval times (where it had been passed down, among other channels, as the art of geomancy from the Celts). Later, as the so-called exact sciences set out to conquer the world, dowsing was dismissed as mumbo jumbo. In more recent times, it was reintroduced to the West as part of the Chinese art of Feng Shui - even our scientists have turned their attention to this subject again.
1914 - 1918
Dowsers and diviners were used on all fronts of World War I to detect water, caves and duds.
1929
In January, German scientist Baron Gustav von Pohl, a talented dowser who believed that earth radiation affected tree growth, animal behaviour and human health, set out to officially prove that cancer deaths only occurred in people who had been sleeping in beds positioned above a powerful “water vein” (underground stream). In collaboration with the Berlin Centre for Cancer Research, Baron von Pohl investigated, i.e. dowsed and recorded his findings in the town of Vilsbiburg in Southern Germany. Using his own ‚Pohl‘ scale of earth radiation, the scientist mapped earth energy lines in the town, then compared them to the records of the district hospital. It was found that every single one of the 48 recently recorded cancer deaths had occurred in people who had been sleeping in beds standing exactly above one of the powerful “water veins” (underground streams) Pohl had mapped before seeing the medical records . The then district physician Dr. Bernhuber MD confirmed the accuracy of von Pohl’s stated correlations (read the original German minutes of the “Inspection of the Market Vilsbiburg on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th January 1929 by firstly the honorouble first Mayor J. Brandl, police superintendent Fischer (on the afternoon of the 13th January), Constable Schachtner (every afternoon, the 13th January excepted), Christian Lechner sen., Lebzelter (on the 13th Jan.), Georg Brandl (on the 13th January) and secondly the divining rod explorer Baron Gustav von Pohl, Dachau-Unteraugustenfeld, drawn up under official supervision” and signed by the town’s mayor.).
With this officially supervised investigation, von Pohl furnished incontrovertible proof that all cancer deaths of the previous years registered in the Lower Bavarian town of Vilsbiburg concerned people who had been sleeping above a powerful “water vein”, with no exception to this rule.
1930
The Berlin Centre for Cancer Research accepted Pohl's findings and published the information in their July journal, positing that earth radiation could be a causative factor in cancer.
Pohl published a book on his work (“Earth Currents as Pathogenic Agents for Illess and the Development of Cancer”, currently out of print) and a number of German doctors began working with the material to help their patients.
1935 to 1953
Pohl's work was further advanced by the German/American doctor Manfred Curry. Curry was head of a research clinic in Southern Germany and investigated the earth energy phenomenon. From his work on the impact of weather on humans and human energy fields, Curry discovered an energy net that affected human energy levels and even had an impact on blood sedimentation rates. It became known as the Curry Net. Curry became so skilled in detecting the Curry Net that he could diagnose a patient simply by doing a site test and knowing where the patient's bed was positioned. He knew that where the energy lines intersected in a knot formation, cancers would manifest.
1950
A German medical doctor, Ernst Hartmann MD, was dowsing for water and discovered what became known as the Hartmann Net. Hartmann, who published two books on the noxious impact of energy lines (Krankheit als Standortproblem Bd. 1 + Bd. 2), spent decades researching the phenomenon. He found that if people worked or slept over the meridians of earth energy, they could suffer heart attacks, insomnia, chronic asthma, migraines, backaches and cancers. He discovered that constantly disturbed and crying babies would settle immediately when their cot was moved. He further found that sleeping on a North/South line made people prone to cramps and rheumatism, with an East/West line making them prone to inflammations. But most notably, he documented three generations of a family who all slept in the same bed in the same house where two Hartmann lines intersected and who had all died of stomach cancer. Starting in 1953, Ernst Hartmann published observations on the connection between the incidence of unexplainable diseases and earth radiations, recording his experiences from a medical viewpoint. Up until his death in 1993, Dr. Hartmann had been searching for a cancer patient whose bed was not affected by noxious earth rays – without finding a single one.
1970
Austrian schoolteacher and dowser Käthe Bachler started one of the most extensive and recent research projects into the earth radiation phenomenon. Working in collaboration with medical doctors, Käthe Bachler dowsed over 3,000 sleep and work places in 14 countries interviewing 11,000 people. In next to all unexplainable cases, they found earth rays to be the cause of the disease. Not only did she find that 95% of the ‘problem’ children that she investigated slept in beds or worked at desks placed at harmful sites, but she also checked 500 cancer cases; every one was found to be sleeping over harmful radiation.
1970
During the Vietnam war, the US Americans called in radiesthetists to find hideouts, caves and mines.
1985
Dr. Veronika Carstens MD (wife of former German Federal President Karl Carstens) published a study stating that there were 700 cases documented world-wide in which terminal cancer patients had regained their health without any conventional treatment after their sleeping area had been moved from a geopathic stress zone. All of these cancer patients had been “given up” by their doctors.
Notes
*  The Chinese called earth diviners those persons that knew about
earth radiations - comparable to modern-time dowsers. Japanese
culture continues to investigate building sites via dowsing to this
   day.
** Earth demons were thought to cause the disease-producing
effects of earth radiations which the people of that time could
only imagine to be the work of demons or evil spirits.

The Dowser That Investigated Cancer

Most attribute the beginnings of modern evaluation of earth radiation to the experiments by the German baron Gustav Freiherr von Pohl, who in 1929 set out to investigate why the village of Vilsbiburg suffered such high incidences of cancer.
He was an expert dowser, and using an arbitrary scale of 0 to 16, he postulated that anything over 9 was a potential hazard. After marking all the danger zones he then checked the town hall records for everyone who had died of cancer in the village, and found that, remarkably, each and every person who had died of cancer had lived or slept over one of these radiation lines.
Other doctors were astounded by this discovery; others remained skeptical and asked von Pohl to repeat the experiment in another town. He did, and the results were identical.

Hartmann Lines

The entire earth is threaded with an invisible grid of Hartmann lines.  They appear every 6-8 feet.  They are named after the German medical doctor Ernst Hartmann.
If your bedroom or work area lies over these lines, there is a good chance you have serious health problems.  Heart attack victims often sleep on a Hartmann line.  So do insomniacs!
Very few people in Canada have heard of Hartmann lines.  A famous German medical doctor named Ernst Hartmann discovered them 50 years ago.  He is a pioneer in the field of Geobiology (the study of how the earth affects your health).  In Germany, geobiologists visit a patient’s house, much like doctors used to do in this country, but they are not there to check the patient – they are there to check the ground upon which the patient lives!
The geobiologist will give the patient recommendations.  The most important being exactly where in the bedroom to place the bed.  Although this doesn’t sound very scientific, Dr. Hartmann had over 40 years of extensive medical documentation to back up his claims and has published three highly technical books on his work.
“Once I went to a man’s home and warned him NOT to sleep in a certain spot.  He thought I was a fool.  Twelve years later, he died of cancer.”

---Ernst Hartmann, M.D.

In 1929, Dr. Freiherr Von Pohl, mapped danger areas in houses in Vilsburg, South Germany, which were then investigated by the German Central Committee for Cancer Research in Berlin.  After checking the local hospital records, it was found that all 54 patients, who had died of cancer since records had been kept, had slept in beds above points marked on Von Pohl’s map.
An Austrian schoolteacher started one of the most extensive and recent research projects in the 1970’s.  Kathe Bachler dowsed 3,000 apartments in 14 countries and interviewed 11,000 people.  She concluded the 95% of the ‘problem’ children that she investigated slept in beds or worked at desks placed at harmful sites.  She also checked a sample of 500 cancer cases; every one was found to be sleeping over harmful radiation.

“If your cat loves your bed – MOVE your bed!”

A woman in Germany had three cats.  They all slept on one tiny spot on the bed when she wasn’t there.  She also slept on this same spot.  It went right through her chest area.  She died of breast cancer!
The following trees plants and animals cannot thrive over harmful earth rays.
Trees: Apple, Pear, Beech, Ash, Linden, Lilac and nut bearing trees.
Plants: Roses, Sunflowers, Lilies, Begonias, Azaleas, Cacti, Privet Hedges, Red and Blackcurrant Bushes, Cucumber, Celery, Onions and Maize.
Animals: Dogs, horses, cows, sheep, pigs and mice. Chicken and birds will not nest over earth rays and when an aquarium stands on a ray, the fish are likely to eat their own eggs
Similarly there are trees, plants and animals that do thrive on harmful earth rays.
Trees: Oak, Fir, Plum Cherry and Elderberry.
Plants: Asparagus, mushrooms, mistletoe and medicinal herbs.
Animals: Cats, ants, wild bees, wasps, beetles, termites and parasites.
Also: Bacteria and viruses

Research Finds Links Between Geopathic Stress and Illness

Between September 1987 and December 1988, the Institute of Consumer Research and Product Marketing in Vienna decided to test the theory of geopathic zones's impact on health.
The aim of "The Vienna Report", was to establish whether "Disturbed Sites" can produce statistically significant results to support the high degree of interest the phenomenon caused in European mainstream and alternative medical practices.
They found that test subjects subjected to "disturbed sites" experienced:
  • deterioration of electro-biological functioning
  • deterioration of heart frequency reaction (HFR)
  • delayed re-warming time of extremities after being cooled down
  • passive rhythms such as breath and pulse frequency was significantly affected
  • significant reduction of immunoglobulins IgA, IgG, and IgM
  • significant increases in levels of potassium, calcium, and under some conditions, zinc
  • diminished serotonin levels
In conclusion, the Vienna report stated that the "œlocation effect" of the "disturbed zone" on regulatory systems of the human organism is proven without doubt, but that the question of which subsystem or system the location-dependent powers primarily attack remains.
The research team, which consisted of distinguished professors, doctors, engineers, scientists and dowsers, also concluded that there was no evidence linking "œlocation load" to any specific illness, but rather that it is a risk factor that weakens your body and immune system, and increases and reinforces the harmful effects of other pathogenic factors, such as:
• Environmental chemicals, poisons and pollutants.
• Malnutrition / poor diet
• Drugs
• Alcohol
• Psycho social stresses
• Genetic weaknesses
• Electromagnetic pollution
In 1989, a group of researchers in Austria completed a two-year study on the short -term consequences of human association with detrimental earth radiation sites. Some 985 people ere tested with 462,421 measurements recorded from 6,943 tests. The working party was headed by Dr. Otto Bergsmann (Internal Medicine), a professor at the University of Vienna. A 158 page report gave details of changes in the serum values of serotonin, zinc and calcium after being exposed to these noxious fields for a period of ten minutes.  There were many other altered states to biological functions noted as a result of short-term exposure to these forces.  This group has now linked with two universities in Austria studying the effects of disturbed zones on the immune system.  Indications thus far support the findings of Dr. Ernst Hartmann who claimed that the protective role of the immune system was undermined when immersed in emissions of detrimental earth radiation
Dr.  Paul G. Seeger,   Former  Chief  of  Cancer  Research,    Charite`  Hospital,   Berlin,  Germany said  “No serious-minded criticism,  be it ever so prejudiced,  can afford to ignore proofs of the existence of pathogenic telluric influences.   Hundreds of cancer institutes all over the world have spent billions without having found any convincing proof of cancer’s  cause.    Why has it not been possible to spend a few million of that huge sum for a thorough investigation of telluric radiation as a prime cause of cancer in human beings.   Why has this newly discovered continent of knowledge not been applied to cancer prevention?”

ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION

Electric power systems  work at  around 50hz  just above the naturally occurring frequency of 30hz generated by the Earth.  Our bodies are tuned in to this low frequency so any frequency close to this is going to interfere with us, such as the 50hz Ac mains power system used in the UK.  ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) electromagnetic fields vibrating from  0.5  to 100hz,  even if they are weaker than the Earth's field, interfere with the cues that keep our biological cycles properly timed.  Chronic stress and impaired disease resistance results.
The frequencies that ELF AC systems use are very close to the natural brain rhythms of cerebrate creatures such as man.  The pineal gland is the principal structure in the brain that is directly sensitive to the earth's magnetic field.  As a result it functions abnormally when exposed to abnormal fields close to its own.  Because the pineal gland produces a host of psychoactive chemicals (such as melatonin, dopamine, serotonin and others)  its abnormal functioning can cause neurological and behavioral problems.
In 1990 the United States Environmental Protection Agency stated  "In conclusion, after an examination of the available data over the past 15 years,  there is evidence of a positive association of exposure to magnetic fields with certain site-specific cancer, namely leukaemia, cancer of the central nervous system, and to a lesser extent, lymphomas. This is supported by many studies of children and adults across many different populations and sub-groups

Are You Suffering From Geopathic Stress?

Geopathic stress apparently does not CAUSE any illness, but lowers one’s immunity, exerting a weak, but continuous stress on DNA. According to the Dulwich Health Society, ”the most common indications of GS are: resistance to medical treatment, a feeling of being run-down and exhausted, depression, nervousness, loss of appetite, pallor and allergy to food, affected by electricity and not absorbing the necessary vitamins and minerals. Not wanting to go to bed and when in bed: insomnia, restless sleep, feeling cold, cramps, tingling in arms and legs, sleep walking, grinding of teeth, nightmares and fatigue and muzzy head in the morning. Children are often bed wetting and babies continuously crying.”
Dulwich Health Society, USA, studied over 25,000 people with ill health and concluded that the following groups are Geopathically Stressed (GS):
100% of people who get SECONDARY CANCER.
95% of people who get CANCER were sleeping and/or working in a GS place before or at the time the cancer was diagnosed.
95% of children who are HYPERACTIVE, have LEARNING DISABILITIES or are DIFFICULT TO CONTROL.
95% of people who get aids.
80% of parents/caregivers who ABUSE CHILDREN.
80% of DIVORCES are by one or both partners being GS.
80% of couples who CANNOT HAVE BABIES, one or both are GS.
80% of women who have a miscarriage.
80% of babies who died of COT DEATH.
70% of M.E. (Post Viral Fatigue) sufferers.

70% of people who are ALLERGIC TO FOOD/DRINK.

Cats, owls, snakes, slugs and snails are attracted to black streams, and a cat’s favorite sleeping place (in the absence of an obvious source of warmth) is very often a sure clue to the location of a black stream crossing. Insects, parasites, bacteria and viruses also thrive on black streams, and ant and wasps nests invariably provide a similar clue.
In the vegetable world clues include lightning-struck trees dead or stunted gaps in hedges and avenues of trees, infertile fruit trees, cankers, and strangely twisted trees (usually in the direction of current flow). Fruit trees are the most sensitive, while oaks, redwoods and ashes are more resilient, and elders seem to be positively attracted.

The Importance of Sleeping in a Geopathic Stress-Free Area

Sleeping in a Geopathic stress fault is particularly harmful to your body. Think about it – you spend about one third of your life in bed. That's a lot of exposure!
During sleep your brain is supposed to rest half the time and is busy healing your body the other half. However, if you are exposed to Geopathic stress during sleep, your brain never receives the full rest it requires to repair and regenerate.
To have optimal health it is important to make certain you are not sleeping on a Geopathic stress fault.
If you have trouble sleeping despite trying several of my guidelines for a good night's sleep, try moving your bed several feet to one side or the other, or to the opposite side of the room so see if it makes a difference. If you find yourself sleeping more soundly in another area of your bedroom, or even in another room of your house, it may be well worth it to stick with it. It's quite likely your body is responding to unseen energy disturbances.

What you can do yourself:

If you and your family are not badly affected by the signs you’ve spotted, but one of you suffers sleep problems, for instance, you might like to consider moving that person’s bed to see if this alleviates the condition. Sometimes, it is sufficient to move it a few inches to one side or the other; other times, it may require a total re-arrangement of the furniture. Remember, if you try moving a bed (the same applies to a favourite chair or other place that someone spends a considerable amount of time), allow a few weeks or a month in the new position to see what the impact is. Clearly, if the situation has got worse, you need to think again!
Something else that may bring relief from Geopathic stress is to use cork tiling as a barrier, for instance placing some cork tiles under your bed or usual chair. If this does not work, please try something else. Also, please be aware that you may need to change the cork tiles now and again as they seem to lose their efficacy over time.

Evidence Connecting Geopathic Stress to Illness

Dr. H. Nieper, M.D., states that 92% of all his cancer patients and 75% of his MS patients are Geopathically stressed. Dr. Nieper is a world renowned cancer specialist and operates one of the largest MS practices in the world.
Dr. E. Hartmann, M.D., is convinced after treating thousands of cancer patients over 30 years in practice, that cancer is a disease of location caused by Geopathic Stress.
Von Pohl proved to the Central Committee for Cancer Research in Berlin, almost 60 years ago, that one was unlikely to get cancer unless one spent some time in Geopathically Stressed places (mainly when sleeping).
Dr. Hager, M.D., found Geopathic Stress was present in all 5,348 cancer cases investigated.

Crib Death (Cot Death)

The Foundation for the Study of Infant Death said, "... a cot should be the safest place in the world." Over 28 laboratories have projects going on in the UK and have spent millions of dollars on research. But they do not express a wish to look into the fact that in 90% of the cases of Crib Death the crib has been standing in a badly Geopathically Stressed place. And, it is so easy to move a crib into the best place in a home! The Foundation stated, "We are so sad each time we have to check up a place after the baby has died."

ME Sufferers

In a recent report published by the Royal Society of Medicine, it was suggested most cases of chronic fatigue would get well through sleep. BUT people who are suffering from ME are most likely to be sleeping in a strong Geopathic Stressed place, thereby creating a vicious circle. You feel tired so you go to the worst place - your bed! Neutralizing the home and driving stress out of the body is the answer.
